I have an associates degree in electrical engineering technology. I have worked as an electronics tech for 3 years and I would like to go back to school in hopes of becoming an electrical engineer.

I am not sure if I can afford to go to a 4 year university and was considering taking community college courses instead. Will this be a waste of my money? What courses should I take?

I am 32 and really dont like to go to tradictional school, having to study history arts and humanites you get the picture., i really think these schools are looking to make money from people. presently i am atteding broward community college in Florida and am getting very disapointed, is like i feel i am wasting time doing an AA degree to transfer to UNiversity.why cant they let people just study the field their want to. Then i have to deal with the people that works there and belive me they are tring all their best not for you to go to college. they have to make everything difficult.

I have 100+ service hours and I play soccer and baseball. I don’t know if this helps but I go to a well known private school in Southern California. So basically I want to know If I have any chances of getting into Cal Poly Pomona/SLO, if not I would appreciate it if you could recommend some colleges that would most likely accept me.
