I am going to graduate in may, ms in electrical engineering. I want to land in an entry level job, where they give me decent amount of time for training and catch up. I want to get into design stuff mainly hardware and embedded stuff. Where is the best place to start looking for a job? ..I mean can you be specific please..?

Is a cars chassis part of the electrical circuit?

I’m doing automotive engineering at college, basically training to become an auto mechanic, Im absolutely fine with everything – except electrics.

Looking at a diagram of an electrical circuit/battery of a car I see that the negative terminal is connected to “earth” or to the cars body/chassis. Does this mean that current is flowing through the cars chassis to the electrical components? So if a cars body was not made of metal, nothing would work?

Why don’t they just connect all of the circuits back to the negative terminal, instead of going through the chassis?
