For those of you who may have read my previous post of my about a man in the delhi slums who soon realizes he has the power to conduct electricity, i have revised and added a little more detail to make the story more legitimate and realistic.
I plan to write this as a screenplay, just so you know.
The following is a synopsis (revised):

Amir Nizeer, a 40-year old resident from the Dehli slums, loses his job at a fast food stall, and is found out that he was caught drinking by the owner. In response to this, Amir’s wife kicks him out of the house, and tells him that he should only come back once he manages to find a job somewhere, and contributes to the family effectively. Meanwhile, Amir’s oldest son begins stealing money from his home, as a result of drug addiction. He begins to ditch school to hang with the street children, many of which are also drug pushers.

On the day of a cricket world cup tournament, which all the slum men and women gather near a couple of TV’s in the slum to watch, Amir decides that it is a good time to commit suicide, and tries to do so by electrocuting himself on a high voltage pole, but strangely nothing happens to him. A local slum resident, Javed, is interested by Amir’s strange ability to conduct electricity, and feels that this is a great way to turn in a lot of profit for himself, which he would we use to purchase alcohol.

They go one day into the city, where Javed puts on a street show for passing Dehli pedestrians, showing Amir’s ability to the public. They both make a considerable amount of money. With all this money, Javed makes an economic agreement with Amir, stating that they 45% of the profits that they make in these stage shows. Amir agrees, and so he starts a career of show business that makes him famous with both the people of Delhi aswell as the media, and becomes popularly known as the electrician. He is accepted back into his family, and distributes some of his wealth to several of the slum residents that need it. Each resident uses the money in a different way. Some use it for food, others use it for drugs, and others still use it for alcohol.

Amir’s son begins to take money from his father on a regular basis from home, as his drug addiction gets worse. His gang of drug addicts tell him of a place down South of Dehli, where they can find drugs more easily, and is the hub where all street children go for a better life. Thinking about this, Amir’s son runs away from home with all the money in his mother’s safe (1400 rupees for his younger brother’s education) to go South with his friends. However, when he comes to his secret hideout to see his friends, they are not there. Instead, they come out and rob him of all his possessions, and run awy with everything. Without a direction, Amir heads towards the city to find a job.

Amir is heartbroken from what his son does, since he had all his hopes on him to bring the family to the top, but continues to perfect his abilities to conduct electricity, often referring to them as a god-given gift to help the family. However, the family gets increasingly worried at Amir’s obsession with electricity, and his wife suggests him to stop, but of course Amir doesn’t listen, mostly because of Javed’s influence.

Meanwhile, one day, when Javed is at his friends house to invite him to a gambling meet at night, The friends wife tries to intervene, and Javed openly insults her in front of the people. The wife’s son, angry about this, teams up with his slum friends to plan a way to take revenge.
One night, while Javed is asleep in his house, the kids come over and light his house on fire to kill him, but are unsuccessful at their attempt, and get caught by Javed, who lashes and severely beats them, and tells him that they must work for him to pay off the damages that the kids have done to his home., and the jobs include unsanitary cleaning of his home, and to run him errands, including purchasing alcohol.

Once the world record firm comes to the slums to see Amir’s abilities in action, everything changes in the slums. The firm suggests that if Amir can conduct an extremely dangerous amount of electricity through his body without injury, than his name will be in the record book, and his family will receive 1 lakh rupees from the firm. But the firm warns him that if he can’t do it, than he shouldn’t try to.

From the greed of this money, the slum residents, Javed, and the firm influence to pull this dangerous act, but his family tells him that he shouldn’t do this. But of course, out of his own greed, he decides he will do it, for the sake of everyone. Javed tries to get him ready for the big event by doing strength tests.
On the day of the event, cameras are everywhere. The world is practically watching Amir pull of this stunt, and he does, with tragic results.
Everyone mourns his death, especially Amir’s younger son, who blames it all on Javed’s force and influence, and stabs him…

As of lately ever since I found out about my ex gf cheating on me (march) I have been on a very long, slow downward spiral with depression, guilt, compulsiveness(turned to drinking 2-3 bottles of whiskey a week) and just about every other thing you can think of that is slowly destroying me mentally and physically. I have struggled with depression in past but that was due to an (eating disorder I suffered few yrs ago no longer issue, I recovered). I know im going to catch a lot of crap for posting this and people are going say its all self in flicked, I feel like it is but also don’t feel that way.

*I took my gf back (march) after she cheated on me with her ex, (who has since admitted to me she never got over after he cheated on her, and she admits im the one for her but shouldn’t have dated me till she knew he was gone). We have been seeing each other off and on since then, it was everyday after forgiveness but she has slowly stopped coming around due to the fact I don’t want her in my bed when she’s with him 2-4nights a week. I love her I really do or I would not have given her a chance to change. She continues to see him 2-3 nights a week at his place. She wants spend time with me as I do with her but it hurts too bad to be “friends” with her. I want what we had as couple. She swears up and down she’s in love with me, and when she can move on with him we will be together. I ignored her for 4-5 days no contact at all despite her blowing up my phone, so she finally came to my work and finding me and we talked some.
I have changed my major more times I care to admit and have about 74 college credits thus far all for nothing it seems, I just started my new and current major (HVAC/Electrician) as I have learned through all the past failed majors I hate sitting behind a desk.
•I’m 26 y/o almost 27 and now considering moving back home with my mom to save money for myself as I have no savings and go to school full time (16 credit hrs) and only make about 00 a month( rent, car, bills, food) If I move home that will end any and all social life.
•Some things I have done and should be thankful for and am is I have done all that college work practically free through military; I did almost 6 years with an elite unit inside the Marines as a medic. Made it back from Iraq safely and all my mates as well.
I try to go out with my very few friends I have 2-3 guy friends (but im not same anymore, anti social) as most my other friends at my age have started marriages, kids, new careers. I am feeling hopeless, lost. I can’t believe I have let this one girl and few other outside factors get best of me. I feel like need antidepressants or something. I have no health insurance. All I think about at night is the girl I do love but she’s with another guy who she says doesn’t want to be with anymore (she texts me in middle of night) but can’t let go of him. I think about my failures of not becoming what I wanted to be in military, not having education, friends, etc. maybe 3-4 hrs sleep a night im miserable. I workout all time but my body and lack of sleep can only do so much. Should I let this girl go? And never talk to her again no matter what? Or give her space/time and try it again knowing she’s with him but once she’s over him I can finally be with her. What about moving back home now since I’m single and can’t date worth a hoot. My self esteem is gone S**t my manhood is gone, everything, I feel like crying over nothing, like nothing at all everyday all time, I can’t explain why.

Any suggestions I thank you in advance.

Hello, this question is a little personal. My name is Michael and I am trying to determine what I should do with my life. I am 22 and have attended a community college and obtained 54 units towards earning two Associates degrees. One will be in Business Administration and the other will be in Business Education Technologies. I have not been able to get into my last two classes because the college is overcrowded. Anyways it seems Associates degrees don’t mean much. I have also taken a 300 hour pharmacy tech class and became Nationally Certified through the PTCB and Florida Registered, only to find out that that career is impossible to get into without experience and when you can get into it, it only pays 7.50 or 8.00 and hour part time. Lastly I have been working at H&R Block for the past three years and have come to find out that this job is a joke. That company will be out of business by next year. Anyway I am now in Victorville, CA and cannot find one job, not even fast food. I am almost broke, cannot afford my car and have been living out of it for almost four months, taking showers at local stores. I have been to Florida, Tennessee, Nevada, and North Carolina looking for work only to find it all pays the same crap or I am not qualified. I am very desperate at this moment and would love to get someone’s advice as to what I should do next. I have already checked with the military, but that would never work for me because I cannot be told what to do. I am looking for a school to continue to get my Bachelor’s but at 22 I still do not know what I should do for a living and what the economy will be like when I get the Bachelor’s. I am the kind of person that can do anything I want and when I apply myself I can achieve great things. I got a score of 807 on the PTCB pharmacy exam, and maintained a 4.0 all throughout my college career. I always wanted to be an electrician or electrical engineer, or even more an Anesthesiologist. The only reason I have not tried to pursue one of these careers is that they take so long. If anyone has any advice that would be greatly appreciated and if someone could give me some sort of direction for my life. My father died when I was 17 and since then I really feel like I lost my way, this life is a waste of time and I feel like I am good for nothing. Someone please help me, my family is really useless and I have no friends, I am looking for anyone to help me.
Thanks!
Mike

I am writing a story about a man in the slums of Dehli who suddenly finds out that he has the ability to conduct electricity through his body, and uses it to earn money. The following is a basic synopsis…
A young man from the slums of Delhi discovers an intuiting ability to harness and conduct huge amounts of electricity, and when his talents attract the media, the public, and the World Record Group, his abilities are tested to their max, which could potentially end his life.

Meanwhile, Amir’s oldest son begins stealing money from his home to help his friends that are addicted to drugs, lended out by a infamous drug lord Minnas.

On the day of a cricket tournament, which all the slum men and women gather near a couple of TV’s in the slum, where they watch the game. While this happens, Amir decides that it is a good time to commit suicide, and tries to do so by electrocuting himself on anelectric pole, but strangely nothing happens to him. A local slum resident, Javed, is interested by Amir’s ability to conduct electricity, and feels that this is a greatway to turn in a lot of profit, which he would we use to purchase alcohol for himself.

He is accepted back into his family, and distributes some of his wealth to several of the slum residents that need it. Each resident uses the money in a different way. Some use it for food, others use it for drugs, and others still use it for alcohol. Amir’s son gets more obsessed with taking money from his father, as his friends get increasingly addicted to drugs. Eventually,he runs away from home with all the money in his mother’s safe (1400 rupees for his younger brother’s education) to help his friends.

Amir is heartbroken from what his son does, since he had all his hopes on him to bring the family to the top, but continues to perfect his abilities to conduct electricity, often referring to them asa god-given gift to help the family. However, the family gets increasingly worried at Amir’s obsession with electricity, and his wife suggests him to stop, but of course Amir doesn’t listen.

On the day of the event, cameras are everywhere. The world is practically watching Amir pull of this stunt, and he does, with tragic results.
He wasn’t ready…he wasn’t prepared…
Everyone mourns his death, especially Amir’s younger son, who blames it all on Javed’s force and influence. It was all because of him, and stabs him oneday heis in his home.
In the end, you see Amir’s older son, amongst thieves and drug addicts, crying over his father’s death, and promices himself that he will return the money he stoll from his mother months ago…

I really want someone to critique this, and to tell me if i am heading in the right direction…
thank you very much

I am in the United States Air Force and I have served almost 8 years as an aircraft electrician. I recently have given serious thought to going back to school and studying Electrical Engineering. My biggest concern is, I want to retire from the Air Force in 12 years before I start another career but I want to knock out the education part now. My goal is to eventually work for Lockheed Martin as an engineer for military aircraft. I look at the job openings now and the qualifications are very vague, but I know that I have experience troubleshooting some of the systems they have created.

If I continue on as an aircraft electrician and go back to school, do I have a decent shot a landing a job with Lockheed, Boeing, or some other aircraft company?

The following are a sampling of some of the journey level electrical courses one can take to advance his or her learning in his or her chosen electrical field.

The first, an eight hour training session in Leviton, teaches students about the installation of cable, about its use and termination and about how to install and handle a multiple pair. They learn as well about installing a twisted pair, as well as fibre optic and coax cables. This is one of the electrical courses in the UK that offers continuing education credits towards electrician license renewal. Six credits are awarded with successful completion of this course.

For certification in various elements of electrical course there are a number of UK electrical courses available. The first is that for the certification in residential general electrician and life and fire safety. The instructors in these electrical courses look at the various principles of the federal National Electrical Code of 1999, Ohms law and the basic principles that must be adhered to and learned for certification. Students are able to participate in practice tests. To attend these certification electrical courses each student must bring his or her own copy of the NEC book. These electrical courses are available as classroom lectures during the day or online for those who cant attend the lectures.

One of the more introductory of the electrical courses for journey level electricians is the instrumentation intro class. An introduction into industrial instrumentation, the course teaches flow, pressure, temperature and monitoring of all these levels as part of working in process control. The nine week course teaches students who are just starting out in the instrumentation field as well as those who want to bone up on the lessons of instrumentation for their ISA exam to become a certified control systems technician.

Three follow up electrical courses expand the instrumentation lessons. Instrumentation 102 is nine weeks too, and in this session students work in a laboratory environment applying the classroom lessons learned in the introductory courses. They learn calibration techniques and methods, and more closer examine the fundamentals and operations of indicators, switches, recorders and transmitters. This course is ideal for loop check workers and those involved in the installation of instrumentation equipment.

This course is then followed by a chance to learn about why process control systems are important, and why control logic is crucial to every industry. Every student in this class will have to apply prior knowledge in the electrical laboratory. Theyll use electrical equipment to calibrate, wire and test it under the watchful eye of the trained instructor. Theyll construct their own process system, demonstrating safe procedures for start-up and tuning. This training is one of the electrical courses that teach and hone troubleshooting capabilities and apply the knowledge theyve learned about maintaining electrical instruments.

The final one of the instrumentation electrical courses refines the former training and looks at advanced instrumentation practices. In addition, students will learn about MMI and computer graphics and how important they have become in electrical instrumentation.

Electricity is a huge part of everyday life and we could not live without it. Being an electrician will involve you in this important part of life. There is a high demand for electrical appliances and other electrics in society and therefore there is a very positive career prospect for electricians. This demand will most probably continue to increase with the advancements being made in regards to technology.

There are many tasks involved in being an electrician and these include; repairing appliances, installing products, and connecting and maintaining electrical systems. These tasks will involve you working in many locations and on a variety of construction sites. Like any job, being an electrician has risks. These can range from electric shocks, to falls and cuts and you must know how to prevent these from occurring and how to deal with them if accidents happen.

In order to learn all the skills required to be an electrician and obtain all the awareness of health and safety you will need to attend an electrician school that will to do a proper training program.

Most people interested in training to be an electrician begin by doing an apprenticeship which mixes work based learning with classroom learning. In order to do an apprenticeship most schools will require you to be at least 18 years old and have a good school education. Although the most popular route to becoming an electrician is to do an apprenticeship, some people also like to fully train in an electrician school first before they look for a job. Once the initial training to become an electrician has been completed you will need to maintain the skills you have learned. A possible way of doing this is by taking part in extra programs to keep refreshing your mind and learning new elements of the trade.

When deciding whether or not to embark on a career as an electrician you may wonder if you are right for the job. A good electrician is someone with good hand-eye coordination, good balance and someone who is physically fit. It will also help you throughout your profession if you are good at problem solving and are able to distinguish between different colours.

The work available for the an electrician who works on construction sites, rather than directly with specific appliances, is very much dependant on the number of houses and buildings that are being produced at the time. If there are less being built then there will be less opportunities for work for these types of electricians.

The pay for an electrician is very reasonable, with an apprentice electrician starting at approximately $25,000 per year. A fully trained electrician can earn $46,000 or more per year. These salaries may change depending on the company that employs you and how well the economy is doing.

So, if you have the qualities required to become an electrician and are keen to learn the skills and techniques needed then go ahead and find a good training program for you and get started on your new career.

Electricity is a very important part of modern society as it powers the world in which we live. Electricity is needed in everyday life as a source of light, refrigeration, air conditioning, and in order to operate machines and other equipment. Therefore we need electricians in our society in order to live our lives as we know them. If you want to become an important part of society by being an electrician there are lots of opportunities out there for you.

To become an electrician it is important to have an interest in hands-on, practical jobs. You must also have the ability to learn the technical skills that are required, and have good hand-eye coordination as the job can be dangerous if not done properly or without taking the correct precautions. In your school there should be an aptitude test that you can take to see if you are suitable for this type of job and the learning that accompanies it. If you are good at mathematics and science and understand electronics then you would be good at being an electrician. As well as all these attributes it also helps in the job of an electrician if you have full move ability and are physically fit. As with most jobs these days, some employers will require a technical English comprehension skill.

To become an electrician you need a lot of patience and you need to be dedicated as it takes a lot of time and effort. A typical course can take as long as 4 years and consists of theoretical instruction (approximately 144 hours) ad practical application (approximately 2000 hours). These sessions that you will have to take part in will require you to devise electrical systems, solder, interpret blueprints, and familiarise yourself with electrical codes that are used in the profession. You will also need to do some first aid training. A course like the one detailed here is available in many schools but it is important that you find the right one for you. To find a school that has a good quality program and to avoid becoming a victim of online diploma mills, follow links provided by distinguished organisations and associations that will lead to sponsored schools and curriculum’s that will give you a good education towards becoming an electrician.

You will need to continue training throughout your career. You will not be able to just complete the one long course as the job continually changes. This ongoing learning is best done by enrolling in training classes either by your own means or through your employer.

You can become an electrician in one of two areas; either maintenance or construction, however nowadays there are more electricians who are trained to have knowledge in both areas and therefore it would be better to have both in order to win over the competition when finding a job.

Once you are fully trained as an electrician you would obviously need to find a job. Most employers require you to have a license, which involves taking an exam to test your technical knowledge and how well you know the codes and theories.
