The lights in our upstairs hallway won’t turn on. There are 3 switches in different locations that would normally turn the lights on, but none of them are working now. The circuit breaker wasn’t tripped. I also reset the circuit breaker just to make sure, but no good. If I believe the panel, the circuit breaker controls the hallway lights and the laundry room lights. The laundry room lights work just fine though so it can’t be the breaker, right? I’m pretty sure I just don’t have some burnt out lights since all 3 lights worked just fine this morning. I also checked all the GFCI outlets in the house to make sure they didn’t trip too. Could a bad light switch cause all the switches and lights not to work? I really don’t have any electrician tools so can’t really do any voltage measurements. Just trying to get an idea of what I can try before I resort to a professional.
Thanks,
Jon

However, he is an electrician and has about every tool under the sun. Can anyone think of something interesting or unique that a hardware store might carry that you would get for your dad? And I’m only 16 so something thats not overly expensive..

Like I said…he has pretty much every tool in the book and its hard to find something for him.
