I’m entering a go kart in my 5th grade science fair, and yes I know that the school year hasn’t started yet, but I like building, so I just started working, and I needed something that makes my go kart unique. Now, if you’re going to send me an answer saying something like,”Why don’t you just do it yourself?” don’t even bother! I don’t have that much time to deal with that stuff. The main point is, if you’re not going to answer the direct question, don’t even bother typing one.

So for a while I’ve been %100 sure that the world would not end the predicted “2012″ date. However today the kids in my school were talking about it and was giving me second thoughts which were making me depressed, so a little reassurance or something would really help.

Well anyway, what they said were that the solar flares would cause the nuclear power plants to act up and explode. Well I don’t know if they said explode, but they said something along those lines… Is that even possible, or are they just trying to get people hyped up? I don’t think I should trust them because they were the ones so determined “Judgment Day” was going to happen… Which I’m honestly surprised because they are either all Atheists or Christians (which in the Bible, if they read it, would say no one would know, so I don’t know why they were all for it.)

Ha, well anyway, some not-so-negative answers would be helpful… I get depressed easily..

Solar Energy Firms Leave Waste Behind in China
By Ariana Eunjung Cha
Washington Post Foreign Service
GAOLONG, China — The first time Li Gengxuan saw the dump trucks from the nearby factory pull into his village, he couldn’t believe what happened. Stopping between the cornfields and the primary school playground, the workers dumped buckets of bubbling white liquid onto the ground. Then they turned around and drove right back through the gates of their compound without a word.
This ritual has been going on almost every day for nine months, Li and other villagers said.
Luoyang Zhonggui High-Technology Co., here in the central plains of Henan Province near the Yellow River, stands out for one reason: It’s a green energy company, producing polysilicon destined for solar energy panels sold around the world. But the byproduct of polysilicon production — silicon tetrachloride — is a highly toxic substance that poses environmental hazards.
