This guy is a safety hazard all by himself! How about checking the receptacle before you pull it out of the wall. And you wrapped your hot in the wrong direction, way to show people how to start fires!!

  3. JSRmontcalm says:

GFCI protection does not necessarily mean a GFCI outlet. it could have a GFCI breaker OR could come off the load side of another GFCI receptacle.

  4. eddykye says:

what if the outlet wont come out?

Oscar you forgot a couple big safety issues in your video, any DIYer should always wear insulated gloves and eye protection if they plan to attempt working around potentially hot electrical devices. You did not show how to use the tester to determine if the outlet is de-energized. You also forgot to mention the requirements of a GFCI anywhere near water as jjenkins mentioned. I fear for the poor sap who grabs the hot wire while holding onto the sink fixture because you did not mention safety.

Is the outlet GFCI protected? Code says it must be in most states. Installer beware this is dangerous without proper training. Failure to de-energize this circuit may result in death.
