how do I make a solar powered chariot for school?

My son has to make a solar or tension power chariot for Roman Day Games at school. It must be smaller than one foot.

    Edmund Scientific has lots of products that can be used to build solar vehicles. Here’s an example, http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_3151649. You could decorate it to look like a chariot.
