How Long Do You Have To Go To School To Be An Electrician?
I know there are 3-4 year programs to do, however; is there not a trade or vocational school where you can get your electrican degree in less than a year?

How do I be come an electrician?
Hello
Yes there is, check out the link below for more information.
Electricity has given us the ability to live better lives, both at home and at work. Over the years, we have developed a complicated electrical system to distribute power to homes, businesses, and industry. In order to make this system function well, trained, qualified electricians are needed to make sure that electrical installations are installed correctly, and are performing properly…………
I don’t think you would go to a university to be come an electrician – you might be thinking of an electrical engineer. To become an electrician I would imagine you could go to a trade school and receive a certificate in 6 months to a year.
Most trade schools have a two year program. I think, and I could be wrong, that there are schools out there that offer accelerated programs to those who qualify.
you don’t have to go to school. you just have to obtain certification.
Go to the site that I link below, and you’ll find all the info you need about becoming an electrician.
Good luck
Try your local union shop they should have the information about the local union. Unions have classes and can answer the questions for area.
Usually you have to have worked under a master electrician for a period of time. Four years here. Then take the exam. You cannot learn to be an electrician from books only. You have to have hands-on experience.
