Im Stuck Between Going To School To Become A Certified Electrician Or A Firefighter. Which Ever I Choose I?
want to school afterwards to get my masters degree in business. If i go the electrician route i want to own my own business and bid on government contracts. Which one sounds more inticing?

Before you become an electrician, go out for a day as a helper for one and experience it. And to bit on government contracts you need a pretty large esrablished business.
As for firefighting, go to your local fire hall and hang around the people there for a day and talk to them. Just remember that as a firefighter you will have to be able to run up 6 flights of stairs, with over 100 lbs of equipment on and not be winded.
both sound like great careers! Its my understanding that firefighting is very tough to get into so I would hedge my bets and pursue both. So go for the firefighting but at the same time pursue the electrician thing because it is easily achievable, and you can make big bucks being an electrician and I am sure it would be possible to combine your passions.
