Is A Electrician Technical School Better Than An Apprentice Program?

By , September 2, 2010

I would like to know which of these two should I consider to become a residential & commercial electrician. Which of the two would also help me get licensed upon completion of the program/school for someday start my own business.
I live in California.
Any licensed experienced electrician’s advice would be much appreciated.

the apprenticeship program would be better. most employers would hire experience over schooling. Apprenticeship usually has up to 150 hrs of classroom per year.
