Is this a questionable deal Mexico will sell power to Los Angeles isn’t La getting bailout money to create jobs not export them ?MEXICALI, Mexico, Feb. 6 (UPI) — Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission signed an agreement with Los Angeles to allow Mexico’s state-owned power company to sell electricity to the U.S. city.
Electricity will be generated at Mexico’s Cerro Prieto geothermal power plant in Mexicali and then sold to the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, according to the memorandum of understanding signed by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission Chief Alfredo Elias Ayub.
How much power will be generated and sold was not disclosed.

    Sounds like a plot by the mecha mayor of LA to make Mexico and LA more co-dependent. He really was a member of that subversive group, mecha!

    First off, I am opposed to the bailout. Secondly, so long as greenies won’t let us build nuclear power plants in the United States – and set up road blocks for other kinds of power plants – it only makes sense for a city near the border with Mexico to buy power from Mexico. I support free trade – I oppose government bailouts.
