OK I am doing an apprenticeship in Plumbing and currently a licensed Excavationers. I finish my course when I turn 22. I then plan to move to Canada with my mate who is doing and Electrician course. If we work gain 1 years experience could we start a business. I mean I could Excavate and do all the Plumbing stuff then he does all the Electrics how much would we have a year for the following:

Just me and him after 2 years?
If we hire a few Journey men Plumbers and Electricians?
Then if we lets say have a total of 4 Journeymen Plumbers 4 Electricians and 4 Excavationers?

How much a year could we make. Thanks.

How can I start a business when my criminal record doesn’t look good?

I have a history of felonies since i was 16 to about 20. No drug charges,guns, or sexual charges. Mostly car theft, 2 or 3 assault on government officials. I have two certified trades one from Local #26 in Wash,D.C. as a residential electrician. The other I recieved when I was incarcerated in Va as a gasoline engine technician. But my joy is cooking & entertaining people. How can I build a career?

i have a problem with this question my teacher gave me. i don’t know what to write for the answer.

the problem: there is a girl named Jane who is hired as the head of the payroll department at R& S Electronic company, firm of 75 employees. she is hired by Eddi the general manager who informs her of the need for maintaining strict confidentiality regarding employee salaries and pay scales. she is also introduced to brad the owner and tells her to see him if there are any problems. 3 moths later Jane began to wonder why Greg a service technician and eddies brother, made so much more commissions than others.she thinks its because he’s highly qualified. She also notices brad, Eddie, and Greg having lunch together. one day, Eddie gave Jane the stack of work tickets for service technicians for upcoming week. every technicians had to do this ticket work. since she had a doctors appointment next week she goes to eddies office to tell him about it. When she entered the office she saw Eddie give Greg a separate stack of work tickets. Eddie saw her and told her not to mention it to anyone otherwise she is fired. Jane was upset that Eddie was giving his brother Greg easier, high commission work to his brother and Eddie had authority to fire her. Since she had only been at the company for a short time, she was still on probation. This was her first job since college. she wondered what she should do.

That was the problem and i need to solve it by giving 2 solutions to this problem. i don’t know what the solutions should be. i also need 3 advantages and 3 disadvantages for each solution.

Can someone please help me. will give ten points. please be honest about the answer.

Become an Electrician or get a Business Degree???

Their is a highly recognized Trade School here in Los Angeles. I have talked to graduates who have completed the Electrical Program at this school. They say its the best decision they have made. Two of them whom I have talked to, who have graduated the program at different years say that they are making between 25 – 30 dollars an hour doing electrical work. Which do you see as being better???

Need career advice from an Electrician…. Study Electrical or Continue working towards a Business Degree???

I live in Los Angeles, and am thinking of attending a Trade School to learn Electrical work. The school is recognized by the state, as well as by major companies in the industry. Would you reccomend choosing an Electrical trade over a Business Degree???

Which is the better plan: medical school or starting own business?

Medical school takes approx. 7 to 8 + years. As an alternative, would it be a better idea for someone to learn a skill (electrician, etc) or customer service (home inspector, carpet cleaning, etc) for a couple of years and then open their own contracting business?

im 24 want to finish school. i was decent at math at best, but good at business. would accounting be to hard?

i have nearly 50 college credits (gen eds), but put college on hold to become electrician. I passed test and was admitted to union school, but bad economy has suspended classes. Ive always wanted to get my degree but couldnt pick a major. Now that I see the real world, i want to do accounting but i am scared that i might not understand it or be able to pass.

Running my business, with just me and tired of the long hours. I willing to work long hours to start a new business but I know I must have workers to really run my business to make money. When I had a bunch of trucks everyone had an accidents so I was discourage to expand, plus the danger of someone getting hurt on the job. Plumbing is dangerous.
Any ideas? On a new business? Maybe a young entrepreneur getting out a school has an idea?
