A campaign is already underway to convince people that ruclear raditation won’t really hurt you by right wing pundits such as Limbaugh and Coulter as well as our many fine paid operatives on this site.

How about a big round of applause for the fine job paid operatives are doing on this site!
Yesterday I was told that a solar powered yard marker would hurt you more than living next to a Nuke Plant.

And maybe we need a distraction, like a genocide or a financial collapse to divert our attention from new permits being issued.

Hello and I appreciate your time for reading this and answering it.

Basically I have been trying to get a career in the electronics industry for about 8 years now. I started out Doing electrical engineering at university and failed the maths subjects a few times and got removed from the degree. After the first failures I spent about 00 on private tuition, exam techniques and maths courses and always did alright in math based assignments but always failed exams horribly.

So after some professional advice I was convinced that I was not suited to Engineering and tried to pursue a career as an electrician but it was hard to get an apprenticeship without doing a course in it first. I registered for the course and attempted the suitability test 3 times and got letters back each time saying that I was not suitable for the course.

After a 4 -5 years working in various types of jobs in the private sector and government trying my hand at other stuff I find myself very unsatisfied with my job and really want a career in electronics. I did as much revision for the suitability test as I possibly could and attempted it again a few months ago and got a letter telling my score was not high enough again to be considered for the certificate in electro-technology.

I consider myself quite skilled in some area’s of electronics such as soldering I have modded a lot consoles and repaired them as well.

So my question stands I really want to be an engineer or at least a sparky is there any other ways to get into this industry preferably without exams or tests?

i recently graduated from a community college and have been looking for a job in the electronics industry. whether being a field technician, or working circuit boards, or testing electronic equipment, I’ve been trying to find at the least an entry/low level position or internship with little luck. it seems now my best bet is go for a bachelors degree or the military or try another career. ive tried a majority of staffing agencies (volt, aerotek, manpower, adecco, etc) and put my resume on numerous sites (monster, careerbuilder, dice, etc) and so far nothing or i dont qualify for the position. ive also tried state/city board jobs but i have no idea how or where to take the test. any suggestions?
