so as you there are new lines everywhere….and each time there is a new line, I would like to be able to say “this item is different from the rest”…so in the end, I get like 1000 string or so (there is about 1000 lines)…

so ya know, I will build a string character by Character, until i get to the end of the line, that is one string then….reapeat.

ie.

do(str = str+currentChar)
until(currentChar = “\n”)

…thats what i thought but it didnt work…

This data comes from notepad… (so the whole mess is one BIG string)…and I am just trying to figure out how to deliminate each new line. and it wont work to deliminate by periods (.) because there are some lines with periods in the middle >.<

any ideas?
thanks, I actually figured it out…for some reason i needed to use “\r\n”….not sure why.

doing it in C# it looks like this:

string[] words = Regex.Split(data, “\r\n”);

for (int i = 0; i < words.Length; i++)
{
display.AppendText(words[i] + “\n\n”);//just a test to see if it works
}
