Can you even compare the two of them like in this article?

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/19/rollins.powell/index.html

Powell:
Retired 4 star General
Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Ronald Reagan’s National Security Advisor
Secretary of State
two Presidential Medals of Freedom
the President’s Citizens Medal
the Congressional Gold Medal
the Secretary of State Distinguished Service Medal
the Secretary of Energy Distinguished Service Medal
and the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award
Several schools and other institutions have been named in his honor and he holds honorary degrees from universities and colleges across the country.
Joe:
Unlicensed plumber
Owes back taxes

Is it fair to compair the two?

Also is it fair that he is being called a traitor by the GOP? After them calling many “unamerican” for criticizing in any way John McCain a POW???
Mark. Thanks for the insight, but if would have paid attention to the question AT ALL….you would have seen that we were talking about people comparing Colin Powell to Joe the plumber….not Joe Leberman as you seem to think for goodness knows why. More unimformed GOP with a lack of attention span.

Do you have any ambitions??????????

Have you ever aspire to go to a Ivy League school, have a better job, make more money, own your business, have a bigger/nicer home ?????????

O.K. some have all of the above given to them…….

Most of us have to work real hard for it………

Obama & his wife supposedly came from nothing and went to the most prestigious(very expensive) university’s in the country….. most of us middle class can never afford that.
( I like to know how they where able to afford this schools?)

Why is everyone is soooooooooo p-od at this guy for aspiring to be more than just a plumber?

P.S. His name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (he uses his middle name)…..

The most embarrassing political moment of the day, so far, came when Sen. John McCain called out for his new buddy Joe the Plumber to stand up at a rally in Ohio, only to be greeted with confused silence. Joe the Plumber wasn’t there.

But that rally featured another embarrassing moment, one that illustrates a far more troubling dynamic for the Republican ticket. The McCain campaign actually had to bus in school kids from the surrounding area in order to fill the event.

A local school district official confirmed after the event that of the 6,000 people estimated by the fire marshal to be in attendance this morning, more than 4,000 were bused in from schools in the area. The entire 2,500-student Defiance School District was in attendance, the official said, in addition to at least three other schools from neighboring districts, one of which sent 14 buses.
This happened as if a reminder were needed less than a week out from the election, Do you think in the heat of John McCain campaign he should be drawing record crowds ?

Doesn’t this make McCain look like a socialist dictator

Hi guys, I would very much like to become a plumber in the UK I am 17 and have taken courses in high school relating to plumbing (construction & design technology). I want to know where to go from here… I know there is information on the internet but it there seems a variety of different ways and I would like to see how most people become a plumber.
Also if you are a plumber what are the pros and cons and is the money side good? Alot of people claim it is but I don’t personally know any plumbers to ask.
Thanks
