Should I go to school for a job that takes only one semester, and then go back to pursue my dream in law?

I am graduating high school, and currently pregnant. My boyfriend is currently going to trade school to become an electrician. My dream has always been to become a lawyer, and I still want to pursue my dream. I plan on going to college full time right after high school. I’ve been thinking of just going to school for something that only takes one semester like drawing blood, but I don’t want it to get in the way of my dream, but I also want to be able to help provide for my family without having to depend on my boyfriend or my parents; I want to be independent and do things on my own, although, yes, my boyfriend will obviously be helping since he is the father of our child. I don’t want to be stuck at my parent’s house forever, though. Also, my boyfriend’s mom and my mom already told me they will watch the baby whenever I need it. I just wanted to ask for some advice from someone who knows more about my situation on what might be the best choice and why? Thank you!
I never really planned on working, I just planned on going to school. I guess I just feel like since I am having a baby I should have a steady income, but I am still only 17 and barely finishing high school, so that’s almost impossible and I must of forgotten that.

Which hospital job should I pursue? Medical Records or Hospital Unit Clerk, Billing, Nursing, etc…?

I was thinking of taking either the “Hospital Unit Clerk” or the “Medical Records Clerk” course which focuses on compiling, processing, and maintaining medical records of hospital & clinic patients. I would also take an “Electronic Health Records” course which teaches the theory & hands-on application needed to work in todays medical office. I was considering the “Central Sterile Technician” course, but it seems that Surgical Technicians primarily hold these jobs.

After completing the above, I would then pursue either the “Medical Transcriptionist” or the “Medical Coding Certificate”. Both are online courses through the school, and require an internship. I felt this field would be the best choice based on my previous experience. Although I have not worked in a medical office I was a Project Manager for Fedex Kinkos for over three years. I have strong “business/office” skills, and am a very detail-oriented, organized individual.

There is also a “Certified CNA” course & a “Home Caregiver Program”, and I would take both. I was thinking of pursuing the Practical Nurse program next fall, since I would only need 9 classes. However, I don’t know if I can handle collecting blood or administering IV’s, if required. For some reason, the idea has always bothered me. However, I know I could earn more as an LPN, and maybe this fear of “pricking others” would pass.

What would your advice be? I am seeking a position that is in demand, and pays at least 30K. Should I take the Hospital Unit Clerk or the Medical Records Clerk course, and then take Medical Coding or Medical Transcription. Or should I continue to consider the LPN route. Honestly, I would be happiest in an office environment doing clerical tasks.
Or should I perhaps consider the Medical Assistant program, instead of the Medical Coding certificate. What would look better to a potential employer, and is the earning potential the same?

What fields can I pursue with an associates degree in electronics & liberal arts. I want a job w/advancement!?

I don’t really want to work the usual “electronic technician” jobs, but perhaps something in a totally different field. I was just wandering if anyone knew if there were jobs that I could qualify for with my associates degree in electronics & liberal arts that may not directly pertain to those disciplines. Perhaps maybe someone knows of a newly emerging field that would suit my knowledge base. I’m just really wanting something with more advancement opportunities & pay.

I am looking to go back to school and get into the Solar and Wind energy field.. I have been doing some searching around online and it’s difficult to find proper courses. I am unsure what qualifications you need, what type of certificates are out there, what type of jobs are out there. I would like to start with installation and advance into the more technical side of it into engineering or whatever it’s called in that field.

Anyway, I am a resident of Ontario and wouldn’t mind to travel for school so long as it sounds promising. Preferably finding courses in Ontario, GTA area, would be best.

Can anyone provide some information of where to start? Thanks in advance!

What Majors To Pursue For Energy/solar Power Job?

I’m looking for different majors to pursue for college and, for fun, I decided to stray away from the ordinary boring ones.
I figured solar/energy-saving power is probably going to become a big business, but what majors are there to pursue?
I’d just like some ideas, but if I may ask try to keep it less general. (For example, please don’t simply say “the sciences” unless you may be able to briefly explain a branch of science in particular!)
