so my boyfriend is going to be 24 next month. He is one of those people where school is not for them, like he doesnt want to take english, history, math, basically all of the core requirements. He wants something that gets right to the point. He tried to get into this electrician school, unfortunately they only accepted 1000 out of the 3000. There was also this HVAC program but it costs like ,000, which we dont have. We were also looking at a Paramedic program. but not sure about that one. Right now he is employed but he wants something that is secure and fast!
Is there anything out there?!?!?!

So over the years, I’ve heard of people going different places in random locations to do jobs, such as laying pipe, or other industrial cleaning services… I’ve known some guys (none in contact now) who were involved in this. I am not particularly interested in going overseas (yet) with KBR, dyncorp, etc… on top of that, I already applied to KBR twice and never heard anything back on a job that I thought I might be qualified for.

I don’t have a CDL, or any electrician, plumbing, carpentry, or welding skills. So until I get some kind of certification for one of those, I am simply general labor (although I can operate a forklift).

Anybody out there that can steer me in the right direction, if anyone knows about these jobs that pay good money and require extended time away from home, I appreciate the help.
