What Can I Do After Completing Electrician Training?

By , July 30, 2010

Im currently attending a vocational program trade course at an local college as an electrician which at the end i’ll receive my diploma. To get a job in that trade will i have to join an apprenticeship to get more training or can i become an journeyman and take the state test, or can i work for a private contractor and receive more training like that.

If you’re interested in getting licensed as a Master and then opening up your own business, then take get a job working for an independent electrical contractor. If you want a secure position (with pension / benefits, etc.), then go the union route.
    Good Luck!http://www.electrician-electricalcontrac…

    i recommend the apprenticeship
    you learn as you go
but on the downside takes years to do with little pay
