Social Issues:
I support gay marriage
I support adult stem cell research funding
I oppose embryonic stem cell research funding
I oppose tax funding planned parenthood/abortion clinics
I support the right to an abortion only in cases of rape or when the mother’s life is in danger

I support very strict immigration policies (deportation of illegal aliens, large raids, penalizing businesses that hire illegals, adding more border security, and constructing a large high electrified border)
I support the right to bear arms.
I support a flat tax of 25% on individual/family income, and a low flat tax of 8% on all corporations/businesses.
I support giving more power over education to the states.
I support policies that would give incentives to companies to bring jobs to the United States such as lower taxes to no taxes for a certain number of years.
I support heavy investment in a goal to achieve at least 95% energy independence through exploitation of U.S. oil reserves, nuclear energy, solar, wind, geothermal, and coal.
You sound like a moderate Republican to me. (though many of your issues are largely supported by people in both parties)
And by the way… Your flat tax notion:
My wife and I make about $110,000/year. With one child and taking the standard deduction, we paid about $15,000 in taxes. This works out to a tax rate of about 13.6% give or take. Your 25% flat tax would DOUBLE my taxes. How is that a deal?
(I suspect many people misunderstand the marginal tax rates. We are in the 25% bracket, but only a tiny portion of our income is taxed at that rate. Our overall tax is about half that, as I said.)

Republicans like your “small government”, but extend that to giving freebies to Big Business, ranting about socialism, and threatening the President.
Democrats like your environmental policy and social issues, but also are opposed to your “small government” ideals.
Really your beliefs align with both parties at different times. I think you shouldn’t be in a party you should just study your local politicians and vote based on how they stand with your issues. If you have to register (obviously) I’d register with whatever is guaranteed to run in your elections.
It sounds like you WOULD be an Independent because you’re almost exactly in the middle. However, you’re slightly more on the Republican side.
I’d have to say you sound more like a VERY moderate Conservative to me.
More so a liberal republican or independent, maybe a conservative democrat.
