Who Else Has Realized That We’re All Paid Slaves In This Economy??
Why can’t we all see that our freedom has been taken away. Why do we have to be in a monetary based economy where the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer and the dumb gets dumber. And then we read articles, watch on the news, complain about having to work 9-5, crime, war, discrimination, global warming and so on.
If only people knew that there are technology out there RIGHT NOW which are environmentally friendly and use natural abundant resources such as tidal, wind, wave, geothermal power and not scarce resources which give out CO2 emissions such as oil, gas and electricity, then why aren’t the government doing anything about this? The whole of UK can be powered by tidal waves. In fact, we don’t have to use anything to contaminate the environment. So then why aren’t the government doing anything about it? Surely they must know this? Is it because we’re so entrapped in this monetary system where by enforcing these technology, the government won’t make a profit, hence the banks losing out? Illuminati? Free Masons? World domination?? or just plain stupidity?
OK so some may argue, technology will leave people jobless and I don’t blame you because in the economy right now, we are partly brainwashed to think that no money = no future/power/respect/life. So correct me if I’m wrong, the main reason that drives crime is money (more like the lack of it)? But on the other hand, if technology is to take over all jobs once belonged to human, then everyone will be equal by not having a job, demolishing this system where everything is around money. There’ll be less crime because there’ll be “less” incentives for once poor or deprived people to steal/murder/etc. Innovative technology will also bring solutions to problems in society in which we now deal with by enforcing laws.(FREEDOM???)
In order for there to be peace, equality and freedom, we need to open our eyes and act as one.
Is it just me, or are there other people out there that think the way I do and believe that this world can get better if only there was no money system.

Toke you time to find out, did it !
Wow. That’s really sweet.
When you can eliminate greed from the human psyche, then your idea may have some merit.
In the meantime – we are all getting up for work tomorrow morning!
socialist.
Isn’t “paid slaves” and oxymoron?
Yes! that’s why i’m going off the grid by month’s end….
“paid slaves” is an oxymoron. Go look up what the working life was like in the mid-19th century. Child labor, 12 hour days, six days a week, no benefits, and you lived in squalor. And that was considered an improvement on what had come before, serfdom and and the guild system.
Ah to be young and have all the answers again.
What are you 12? Slaves are not paid. We are not servants to anyone. We still have the freedom to make wise choices and foolish ones. We still have the ability to invest or goof off. WE have the choice to succeed or not. Technology has not hurt the job market. I think you need some chamomille tea and a nap.; There will never be peace and equality. It is against human nature.
Okay you’re just beginning to us your mind and you’re beginning to realise how powerful it can be .
Now step back and think about this , THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE ! Your Utopian ideas are nice but can not work until we have the human population down to a viable level , ie 2,000,000,000 .
Also have you considered that the people at the top don’t want us to be free ?
Don’t think that you have got all the answers because you’re only at the very beginning and allot of what you think now you will realise in time is wrong .
At least you are thinking though , most don’t !
Since you not asking a question here i will not tr to answer.
i would just like to add that the working class and by working class i mean anyone who has to work for another person everyday to support himself is a slave. ans this is irregardless of the current financial position.
we are not enslaved by chains but we are enslaved by our attachments to the monetary system.
Governments know about alternative energy but they also know that are foreign relations and our economy is driven by our conventional energy source.
you see when they speak about alternative energy and sanctions on small cars and so on it just goes to show that our government doesn’t give a d*mn about our environment.
call them the Illuminati. new world order or whatever but they are up there and we are down here and it will forever remain the same power.
No, you are one of those who believe in Utopia where no one has to work and we all just live off the land and we all get along wonderfully.
Wake up Cinderella! This is an evil world and there are people who will take advantage of dreamers like you. Obama is one of them.
What in the world is wrong with honest labor, especially at something you love to do? In a way you are right about the wage slave issue, but that is a personal choice in this country. There is nothing to stop you from starting a business from total scratch and building it into a multimillion dollar enterprise where many people are employed and many families are well-fed, well-educated, and well-housed.
It’s the whiners who think they are trapped into a certain life-style who are the wage slaves. There is nothing in the world wrong with a little healthy greed. That’s what makes the economy hum along. Everyone has their own goals and they work toward them. Every good man wants to do what’s best for his family and wants his children to have a better life than he did.
Equality is a loser’s concept. Yes, the Constitution says that all men are created equal, but think about it, how can that be possible in the literal sense? Some people are born into rich families, some people are born smart or ugly or stupid or weak or strong. Some people work hard and smart and they end up rich. Others work hard and stupid and just barely get by. Yet others don’t work and end up homeless. How about those who hit the jackpot and end up on skid row in two years a hopeless alcoholic, friendless, and broke. Equality is an impossible goal. If it were possible, how bland and dull would this world be? Who decides what is the base line for equality? Should it be that everyone is rich or poor? Smart or stupid? Beautiful or ugly? Or should everyone just be mediocre and dull?
Then there’s that pesky human trait called pride. Who wants to live in a commune where nobody works and everyone has equal share in the chores to be done? Very soon, there will be someone who wants more than a mere share, they will figure out a way to get people to work for them and get part of their their share too. Some people are too proud to be part of a herd, they’ll want to strike out on their own.
Freedom doesn’t come with peace. Someone has to uphold the peace because human nature is basically evil. Only those with a conscious are able to control the evil. Those with no conscious will express their evil desires in many negative ways. Think you that you would live in peace because everyone is equal? You think wrong because there is no such thing as equality. It’s only a dream, a wish and will never be a reality as long as humans are alive.
Now there are those who believe that humans are not worthy of life and they want to wipe them off the earth leaving only a few who are deemed worthy. Would you be one of those? Careful, you could easily get suckered into such a reality. Let me remind you of what Ben Franklin, one of our founding fathers, said. “Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb sit down and decide what to eat for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb.”
Now some of my own words of wisdom: Freedom ain’t free, peace is only the temporary lull between inevitable wars, and no poor man ever created jobs.
To get to where you are proposing would require blood flowing like rivers in the streets as you are basically saying you are going to take away from one set of people and spread it to everyone. Those who have worked and contributed to build something will never go along with that. It can only happen at gunpoint.
Sounds sweet and Utopian, huh?
The only “fair” system is to allow people freedom to succeed. Not everyone will, but they are free to try (and fail). THAT is the only freedom possible in this life; freedom to try without oppression. Anything else requires oppression (under the guise of being for the greater good).
In the end, more evil would come of that.
Just in this economy? How about it always was like that? As long as there are minimum wages that don’t pay a person enough, without benefits such as health care, paid sick leave, paid vacation leave, etc.–that long are you a slave–no matter how well or how bad the economy is doing….
The reason for the abolition of slavery act (William Wilberforce – House of Commons 1807) was to ensure that there would be a continuous and readily available workforce for the Capitalist Enterprises. Same thing much later in the USA – the emancipation of the slaves – which enabled US Capitalists to have a readily available workforce.
The best way to describe the present day circumstances of the average worker is to call them ‘wage slaves’. These people, especially in the USA, are exploited by the Capitalists and paid low wages – just enough to stay alive and buy a few cheap goods, mostly imported, but not much else. These same ‘wage slaves’ are encouraged in the belief that they are ‘free’ when in fact they are not free at all and are also often unemployed for long periods during their useful working life.
I’m not going to tell people how to vote or whom to vote for. But it becomes increasingly obvious when you start reading up on politics and in particular the political history of both the UK and USA.
Here in England it starts in the 17thC with a group of farm labourers who came together and called themselves, “The Diggers”. Once you know about these ‘Puritan folk’ you undersand the Australian expression ‘digger’ and where it comes from.
It’s a very long story including the Levellers of Oliver Cromwell’s New Model Army, many of whom were executed for their democratic beliefs, including votes for both men and women from age 21.
When we get into the 19thC we come across the Chartists, many of whom were simply transported to Australia just so that the ‘Tory’ government of the day could get rid of these annoying people who kept demanding the vote and other such things.
You will also need to read up on Karl Marx – the Paris Commune and a whole history of the Working Class and Labour/Socialist movement to find out how it was suppressed, particularly in the USA but how it reformed itself here in UK and became a power for good and created the Welfare State including the National Health Service etc.
Meanwhile in the USA the struggle for the minds of the people continues now with the national debate on the issue of State Sponsored Medicare etc.
You might also check up on the Suffragettes, both here in UK and also in America.
